8 Rules on How You Grow Your Company
The last few months have again
proven to be another busy and exciting time for Benchmark
Estimating Software. We recently attended the Landscape
Australia Expo at Homebush Bay in Sydney, and had a fantastic
time. It was truly a pleasure to attend such a well
organised event, and the interest in Benchmark at the show was
fantastic.
I also had the honour of being invited to speak on the benefits
of good estimating at both the Expo Conference and at the
Landscape Contractors' Association (LCA) meeting that was held in
conjunction with the Expo. For my speech I drew on my 20
years of business and estimating experience, from my beginnings
as a small contractor through to the present day.
The speech outlined 8 rules which help to ensure a contractor's business
is successful; and it is available for download by clicking the
following link and completing the form. The 8 rules focus
on ways you can improve the profitability of your contracting business by
being aware of better business and estimating practices.

Benchmark is moving closer to our new Version 6.05 release. This release is sure to impress;
we have developed some
brilliant new features which will benefit everyone who produces
estimates and quotes.
Quote
reports in Microsoft Word, an Export to Excel Project Review
that exports your entire estimate for review, analysis, and to
assist you manage your projects, added functionality for the
Marketing Reports, added features to the Quote with Options, Quantity Takeoff sheets that
are stored within your Benchmark estimate, there is something in V6.05 for
everybody!
It has been ten years since we started and Benchmark has evolved
into a very smooth and competent package, with all elements
coming together in a logical way to provide our clients with
what I believe is the best estimating software package
available. I took great delight in demonstrating the
product at the recent Landscape Expo, and in seeing the
reactions from everyone who witnessed it in action.
So now might just be time for you to stop throwing time and
money at spreadsheets that require constant adjustments and
never last. Implement a system that has been designed
specifically to make estimating easy and logical for your
business, a package that will stand the
test of time.
Yours, in the
interest of better estimating,
