Version 6.05 release
Benchmark
will shortly be releasing a significant new upgrade of the software,
with Version 6.05 due in the coming month. New features
that will be included make Benchmark one of the
most comprehensive estimating and quoting systems available anywhere in the
world!

WordŽ Quote Reports - fully customise the look and
detail of your quotes or proposal documents in a Microsoft Word template to
create and maintain your brand and to help you stand out
from your competitors.

Review Export to Excel - provides you with another
format to review your
estimate, determine the effects of changes after the
tender has been awarded, and is an ideal
tool for the effective hand over to project managers.

Quantity
Takeoff sheets - so you can set up standard takeoff
procedures in a library and do your quantity
takeoffs within Benchmark. These quantity takeoff sheets are also saved
in your Benchmark estimate with their associated Item.

Marketing Reports
- enhancements to these reports now give you more
data to help you analyse your business and make business
decisions. These enhancements include the addition
of Won/Lost/Pending reports, a forward order book to
review your budgeted figures, and tool bar and layout

- this popular quote reporting tool now allows you much,
much more flexibility and customisation in your quotes,
allowing you further ability to customise your proposals

Project
Browser
- a new Quick Find feature in the Project Browser allows
you to quickly locate a particular project or projects,
by sorting on a variety of key fields including Quote
No., Estimator, and Client.

NOTE: All of our
Clients who have a current Maintenance agreement will
automatically receive the upgrade CD when it becomes available.
Feature
Focus - Resource Rate Change
The Resource Rate Change feature allows you to quickly and
accurately make changes to the price of any particular resource,
to eliminate the chance of errors, save time, and allow you to
submit a competitive price relevant to each project. It is
available in the FULL edition of Benchmark Estimating Software.
How?
Simply select the Resource Rate Change option in the Project
Details Maintenance screen (see below), and you will see a
list comprising all the resources used in the project you are
working on. Each resource used only lists once regardless
of how many times it appears in your project.

Resource Rate Change screen

Now, for example, if you were granted a discount on a material
for this particular job,
you simply insert the new rate of that particular Resource (see
below) and it
will change the rate of that Resource everywhere it is used in
your project, but will not adjust your default library rate!
