Version 6.05 has
been released!
It gives me
great pride to announce that Benchmark has released Version
6.05! To arrive at this edition of Benchmark, we have spent
significant time looking at how businesses operate, listening to
the feedback and requirements of their staff and thinking about
the business challenges they face. We have created features in
Benchmark to solve these challenges while retaining the focus on
smoothing business operations.
Benchmark Version 6.05 is more than just an estimating and
quoting system; it will change the way you do business!
You have the ability to create customised templates for your
quotes and reports in Microsoft WordŽ. The majority of our
users will derive massive benefits by using this feature for
producing really attractive quotes to present to clients. But
this new feature is not just limited to quotes. Because you
have the ability to export data from such a wide range of fields
in Benchmark, you can set up templates for other business
reports and export the information you need. When you use this
feature to create your large, complex reports the time savings
will be phenomenal and you will be making a seamless transition
from your estimate into your reports.
The Quantity Takeoff facility is extremely powerful,
created to give you control over what is produced by your staff
and to store all your estimating data within your Benchmark
estimate. Using standard quantity takeoff sheets enables you to
establish very strong procedures throughout your business,
giving you consistency in your estimates.
The new range of Exports to ExcelŽ and exports to common
accounting systems have been created and designed in
collaboration with our users and staff to smooth the flow of
information through your company. You can use the new Exports
to ExcelŽ:

smooth the handover to project managers and your
construction teams, and |

to
better integrate with your accounting systems.

Many of our
clients have previously maintained a quote database in a
spreadsheet to help them analyse their business performance.
However with the new Marketing Reports in Version 6.05
they will be able to produce business and marketing reports on a
large range of variables to assist in your business analysis.
This feature again follows the philosophy of smoothing
operations as the data is all stored in Benchmark for you.
