Benchmark attends Landscape Australia Expo |
|
31 July 2006 |
Benchmark Estimating Software had a great time at the
recent
Landscape Australia Expo 2006 at Homebush Bay in Sydney
from the 26th to 28th of July. Congratulations must be extended to
Michael Nissen and the team at Exhibitions Group Pty
Limited for a job well done, as the event was extremely
well attended and well organised.
Benchmark
Director Rob MacDonald was invited to speak (pictured
right) as part of the Expo's Conference program on the
benefits of Good Estimating. Rob also spoke at the
Landscape Contractors Association (LCA) meeting held in
conjunction with the conference. Rob titled his
presentation '8 Rules on how you grow your Landscaping
Company', drawing upon his extensive industry experience
to deliver a well received speech.
The Benchmark stand itself attracted great interest,
with many people getting to know the software and it's
capabilities. The demonstrations of Benchmark were
highly popular as people saw how easy Benchmark is to
use, while the upcoming features available in Version
6.05 impressed all who saw them in action.
It was great to see so many of our current clients at
the Expo and hear their feedback first hand. It
was also extremely rewarding to hear how our new
features will help each of our
clients businesses in
a unique way.
David Black, of Stone Will Pty Ltd in Seven Hills,
Sydney, was one who purchased Benchmark directly after
seeing it at the show. Previously working from
spreadsheets, David purchased Benchmark because he
realised it provided more power and sophistication.
He particularly liked the ease with which you can
produce Progress Claims, and the way you can review your
project and job costs in Benchmark. Stone Will Pty
Ltd are specialists in structural landscapes and work
throughout the greater Sydney region.
The Benchmark team now turn their attention to the
Australian Landscape Industries Association National
Conference on the Gold Coast from the 31st of August to
the 1st of September which we are sponsoring. We hope to see you there!
